The political scientist and publicist Giovanni Sartori has been distinguished with the 2015 FAES Freedom Award. The Professor has sent a letter thanking the President of the Foundation and former Prime Minister of Spain, Jose Maria Aznar, for the award. Sartori is considered one of the founding fathers of contemporary political science and has distinguished himself throughout his public life and work as a staunch defender of freedom and for pointing out with wit and courage the challenges and problems facing Western democracies.
