At the 2010 COPE Malaga Forum Aznar: "I am an advocate of calling for immediate elections in Spain" /21.05.10/ Jos? Mar?a Aznar, president of the Foundation for Social Studies and Analysis (FAES), has participated today, Friday May 21 at the 2010 COPE Malaga Forum. In his address, Aznar declared that he is an "advocate of calling for immediate elections in Spain, and of calling them as soon as possible" for Spaniards "to clearly say what they want to do about their future" and choose "a political formula different to the current one, whose failure is already evidenced". Excerpt of Aznar"s address at the Forum: "We Spaniards have lived through a thirty-year process, and intensively so during 8 of those years, of how to become prosperous and rich from being poor, and now we are returning again to the cycle of how to become poor again and cease being prosperous. It is odd, but every time the Socialists get to be in office they leave the country in bleakness" "Spain is going through a critical time and I want to say this clearly so that no one is fooled. We are not going through a bad time, a difficult moment? no; we are going through a critical time for the present time and critical for the future of our country" "They decide the exact opposite measures to what the country needs. And that is breeding an extremely critical situation for our recent historical life and critical because really the efforts that the country will have to make to push itself out are extraordinarily significant"
