Invited by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee Aznar Takes Part in the Annual Events of the AIPAC in Houston and Atlanta He stressed the importance of supporting Israel for the West in these times of uncertainty in the Middle East Madrid, 30.01.12.- Jos? Mar?a Aznar, former President of the Spanish Government and President of the Foundation for Social Studies and Analysis (FAES), is in the United States to take part in two annual events of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). In the opening conference of the event, which was celebrated yesterday, Sunday, in Houston, Aznar stressed the importance of supporting Israel for the Western World, particularly in these times of major uncertainty in the Middle East. Aznar has also taken part in a similar event organised by Atlanta's AIPAC. The American Israel Public Affairs Committee is the main organisation devoted to strengthening the bilateral relationship between the United States and Israel. Senators and congressmen, of both the Republican and the Democrat Party, Government's officials, members of the diplomatic corps and foreign ambassadors in the United States are part of it.
