After Alberto Carnero's departure to Foreign Affairs and Fernando Navarrete's to the ICO Cayetana ?lvarez de Toledo and Miguel Mar?n, new appointments for FAES Alberto Carnero has been appointed Trustee of the Foundation ?lvarez de Toledo, new Director of the International Department and Mar?n of Economy and Public Policies Madrid, 01.02.12.- Cayetana ?lvarez de Toledo, Member of Parliament of the PP, has been appointed Director of the International Department of FAES Foundation after Alberto Carnero, the previous director of the aforementioned department, was appointed new Chief of Staff of the Minister for Foreign Affairs. Furthermore, Alberto Carnero has been appointed Trustee of FAES. In addition to this, the Foundation has also selected economist Miguel Mar?n to lead the department of Economy and Public Policies. His predecessor in this post, Fernando Navarrete, is now the Director-General of Strategy and Assistant to the Chairman of the Instituto de Cr?dito Oficial, ICO. These appointments, along with Javier Zarzalejos as new Secretary-General, and the new Directors, Ignacio Astarloa for Constitution and Institutions, and Miguel ?ngel Quintanilla Navarro for the Publishing department, shape the new organizational structure of FAES. INTERNATIONAL Cayetana ?lvarez de Toledo (Madrid, 1974) has a History degree and PhD from Oxford University. Member of Parliament of the Partido Popular for Madrid, she is also Vice-Chairman of the Joint Committee for the European Union and a member of the Justice and Constitutional Committees, as well as Head of Analyses of the PP of Madrid. During the last term of office she was Spokeswoman for the PP parliamentary group in the Congress. From 2006 to 2008 she was Chief of Staff of former Secretary-General of the PP, ?ngel Acebes. Before entering politics, she developed her journalistic career in newspaper El Mundo. ECONOMY Miguel Mar?n (Ja?n, 1971), new Director of Economy and Public Policies, has a degree in Economics from San Pablo CEU University. He has a postgraduate course in advanced economics by the Centro de Estudios Comerciales and a postgraduate course in Business Administration by the IESE. He has worked as a consultant and partner in Eneas Sector P?blico since 2008. From 2005 to 2008 he was Managing Director of the legal and technical consultancy services of the parliamentary group of the PP in Congress. Previously, from 2001 to 2004, he was member of the economic advisory department of the President's cabinet. From 1999 to 2001 he worked as an advisor to the Committee of Economic and Monetary Affairs of the European Parliament and Chief of Staff of the Secretary-General of the European People's Party.
