Madrid, 12.02.12.- Mar?a Aznar, former Prime Minister of Spain and President of the Foundation for Social Studies and Analysis (FAES), has opened in Venice the symposia titled 'The Russian Presidential Elections: European Expectations'. Devised as an international meeting to analyse relations between the European Union and Russia, it is organised by the Alcide de Gasperi Foundation and the Institute for International Integration Studies. Aznar participated in a round table discussion on the role played by both parts in the current world. It also counted with the presence of Alexander Babakov, Deputy Chariman of the State Duma, and Helen Teplitskaia, President of the American-Russian Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Former Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of the Alcide de Gasperi Foundation, Franco Frattini, presented the event which was celebrated at Venice International University.
