Written before his appointment as Minister for Education, Culture and Sport FAES Publishes _Los espa?oles ante el cambio_, by Jos? Ignacio Wert Madrid, 22.02.12.- The Foundation for Social Studies and Analysis has published the FAES book Los espa?oles ante el cambio written by Jos? Ignacio Wert, current Minister for Education, Culture and Sport, before his appointment. In it, the sociologist reflects on what Spanish society tells us about itself: how it acknowledges itself, what it believes in, what it expects from the future and what it finds exasperating now: what its mood is and its disposition to face the problems arising from the crisis and those still pending. This study, belonging to the series of books published by FAES Foundation, reflects upon concepts such as identity, nation, autonomic regions, and analyses the crisis of the Welfare State. It similarly studies personal and social values, as well as those arising from politics. Lastly, Wert concludes by looking for answers to these questions and poses new ones that our society must face and solve. _Los espa?oles ante el cambio_ is a thoughtful reflection and a starting point to draw an empirical map of opinions, attitudes and values. It also includes a preliminary analysis made by the author on the 2011 general elections. In it, Wert analyses the PP's triumph, the PSOE's implosion and the increase of fragmentation, and he interprets and studies its consequences.
