Third Edition of the FAES Campus Argentina

From Wednesday March 14 until Friday March 16, in Buenos Aires FAES celebrates the third edition of the FAES Campus Argentina Aznar will close the sessions on Friday, March 16; the Campus will be opened by Mauricio Macri, Chief of Government of the ACBA Latin America's political agenda, economic challenges, the importance of ideas, and the international scenario, amongst the issues to be analysed Javier Zarzalejos, Cayetana ?lvarez de Toledo, Miguel ?ngel Cort?s, Juan Andr?s Fontaine and Francisco Cabrera, will be some of the speakers Over a hundred politicians, scholars and students will participate in this meeting seeking to analyse and study issues in favour of democracy and liberty Madrid, 13.03.12.- FAES Foundation FAES Foundation celebrates tomorrow Wednesday, March 14, until next Friday, March 16, the third edition of the FAES Campus Argentina 'Proposals for the Future', organised with Fundaci?n Libertad and Fundaci?n Pensar. Jos? Mar?a Aznar former Prime Minister of Spain and president of FAES will close the sessions on March 16; the Campus will be opened by Mauricio Macri, Chief of Government of the autonomous city of Buenos Aires (ACBA). The three days of the FAES Campus Argentina will focus on three main subjects: 'Challenges and threats for the future of Latin America', 'Ideas for a winning political project' and 'Argentina, Latin America and the international accord'. The sessions will be carried out at Buenos Aires City Legislature (Per?, 160). In addition to Jos? Mar?a Aznar and Mauricio Macri, amongst the main speakers of the Campus' third edition are the secretary-general of FAES, Javier Zarzalejos; the Foundation's director of the international department, Cayetana ?lvarez de Toledo; Member of Parliament for the Partido Popular, Miguel ?ngel Cort?s; Chile's former Minister of Finance, Juan Andr?s Fontaine; the Minister of Economic Development of the city of Buenos Aires and president of Fundaci?n Pensar, Francisco Cabrera; and the president of Fundaci?n Libertad, Gerardo Bongiovanni. "PROPOSALS FOR THE FUTURE" The third Edition of the FAES Campus Argentina will be celebrated under the title 'Proposals for the Future' and will bring together over a hundred participants ? between students and speakers ? at Buenos Aires City Legislature. The Campus has consolidated itself as an assembly of renowned politicians and scholars with young Latin American politicians, to study and analyse different issues providing them with ideas and reasons to promote democracy and freedom. In this edition, the sessions ? opened to the media ? are designed around eight dialogue panels, a special conference, and a central closing conference. Amongst the specific subjects to be analysed are Latin America's political agenda, the region's economic challenges, the importance of ideas in politics and the new international scenario. The Campus will also offer ideas and conclusions for the updating of the FAES report 'Latin America: An Agenda for Freedom', which has profited from the Foundation's collaborator network in Latin America, already exceeding a thousand members, and which will be launched in Spain in April. The FAES Campus Argentina follows the model celebrated by the Foundation in Madrid's town of Navacerrada every year. It has been organised with the collaboration of Fundaci?n Pensar, the think tank of the political project led by the Chief of Government of the Autonomous region of Buenos Aires, Mauricio Macri, and Fundaci?n Libertad, one of the most prestigious foundations of Latin America.
