The Secretary-General of FAES and director of the seminars, Javier Zarzalejos opened the conferences, with the secretary-general of the PP of Arag?n, Octavio L?pez, and the mayor of Tarazona, Luis Mar?a Beamonte. The regional President of Arag?n, Luisa Fernanda Rudi, closed the sessions with the Executive Secretary for Training of the PP, Juan Carlos Aparicio. Directed by Javier Zarzalejos, the Tarazona's Summer School's purpose was to become a meeting point for the study of the main issues currently under debate in Spain and in the world. This year, the issues analysed have been, amongst others, the Spanish economy; the global macroeconomic situation; the future of Europe; the political and moral causes of a crisis which is not only economic, and the possible reforms of the regional States. This fourth edition, held at the diocesan seminar of Tarazona, also had as speakers the president of IberCaja Foundation, Manuel Pizarro; the Chairman of ICO, Rom?n Escolano; the Chairman of the Real Instituto Elcano, Emilio Lamo de Espinosa; the Member of the European Court of Auditors, Baudilio Tom?, and the Professor of Contemporary History of Deusto University, Fernando Garc?a de Cort?zar, amongst others. THE SESSIONS On Friday 7, the opening session, once finished, opened the way for the starting of the course "Visions on the Future of Europe", which started with the conference 'Times for Change, Reforms and a Better Government' by the Member of the European Court of Auditors, Baudilio Tom?. The next lecture was given by the Chairman of the Real Instituto Elcano, Emilio Lamo de Espinosa, with the conference 'Europe's Crossroads". At 4:00 pm started the session titled "Spanish Economy and Global Economy", pronounced by the president of IberCaja Foundation, Manuel Pizarro; and his analysis on the "Causes of a Crisis which is not Just Economic"; as well as the Chairman of ICO, Rom?n Escolano, who went over the "Opportunities and Challenges of the Spanish Economy". At 6:30 pm, the director of Fundaci?n Dos de Mayo, Naci?n y Libertad, Fernando Garc?a de Cort?zar, pronounced the conference "Humanism in the Face of the Crisis". The second day of the Summer School started on Saturday 8, at 10:00 am, with the table "Reforms for the regional State", with the participation of the Secretary-General of FAES foundation, Javier Zarzalejos, to analyse "The guarantee of the Regional Self-Governing Model". Next, the MP of the Partido Popular, Gabriel Elorriaga, reflected on the "Possible Reforms for the Territorial Model". At 12:00 am, and prior to the closing session, started the last conference of the Summer School, "Economic Crisis or Political Crisis". In it, the director of Studies and Analysis of Environment for Repsol, Pedro Antonio Merino, discussed the "The Global Macroeconomic Situation: Central Scenario and Risks"; while the writer and Literature lecturer at the la Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, Jos? Mar?a Marco, imparted the conference "Moral and Public Virtues after the Crisis".
