The opening session was chaired by the director of the seminars, the Secretary-General of FAES, Javier Zarzalejos, who was also attended by the secretary-general of the PP of Arag?n, Octavio L?pez, and the mayor of Tarazona, Luis Mar?a Beamonte. During his talk, Zarzalejos remembered the crisis situation we are enduring and which he qualified as very deep, where you can't see the perimeter and it exceeds economic matters . Javier Zarzalejos also referred to the regional States considering that they are facing their first major crisis, not so much for identity or political reasons, as for structural reasons, and it needs to be supported and grow stronger to meet that grand task of being an element for national cohesion. The Secretary-General of FAES likewise wished to defend the value of politics based on ideas as the main element in the drafting of proposals to improve the life of citizens. "In politics, ideas matter", he said. On the other hand, Octavio L?pez stressed once more the reasons why the Partido Popular holds this gathering and he asked for more matureness and training, to be better prepared and serve citizens better; like modesty, because we want to know more to represent citizens better.
