Mar?a Aznar has received on Tuesday November 20, the 30 young politicians participating in the XI edition of the FAES-CES Programme of Latin American Visitors In a meeting held at the headquarters of FAES Foundation, Aznar addressed the students on Latin America's opportunity to secure its progress if it improves its institutional and competitive advantage and the potential posed by 50 million U.S. Hispanics. In addition to this, Aznar and the students discussed other issues such as the fundamental value of ideas in politics and the strategic changes that will take place in the international arena in the coming years. The Programme of Latin American Visitors is organised by FAES in collaboration with the Center for European Studies and the State Secretariat for International Cooperation and for Latin America. Its aim is to show young Latin American politicians how the European and Spanish political, economic and institutional system works, valuing the strengthening of institutions, political parties and the Rule of Law. The program also seeks to train the participants in leadership. The students come from 20 different countries of the region, and occupy important positions in the institutions and parties of their native countries.
