FAES Foundation is already collaborating with more than a hundred institutions from Latin America, Europe and the United States
Madrid, 20.04.12.- FAES Foundation has signed a collaboration agreement with Espacio Democrático, a think tank for political studies and training linked to Brazil's "Social Democratic party (http://www.psd.org.br/noticia/fundacoes-do-psd-e-do-pp-espanhol-assinam-convenio-de-cooperacao/), PSD. During his visit to Sao Paulo, president of FAES and former Prime Minister of Spain, José María Aznar, signed the agreement which will help produce joint activities and studies, as well as disseminating proposals to defend freedom and equal opportunities.
During the signing of the agreement, Aznar declared that both foundations work in favour of countries' prosperity, security and stability, and reminded everyone that FAES pays special attention to Latin America. With this agreement, FAES is collaborating with more than a hundred institutions from Latin America, Europe and the United States.
The president of Espacio Democrático y vice-governor of the State of Sao Paulo, Guilherme Afif, signed the agreement, the first institutional one to be signed by the PSD. Also at the signing of the agreement were the Spanish consul general in the city, José María M. Manso; the national president of the PSD and prefect of Sao Paulo, Gilberto Kassab; the advisor of Espacio Democrático and former senator, Jorge Bornhausen; and Secretary for International Relations of the Sao Paulo City Hall, Alfredo Cotait.
