Mar?a Aznar, president of the Foundation for Social Studies and Analysis (FAES), has closed today, Sunday 11 July, with the president of the Partido Popular, Mariano Rajoy, the 2010 FAES Campus. The seventh edition of the FAES Campus, which concludes today, was divided into three courses: "Stability and Reforms before the Fiscal Crisis", "Freedom in 2010: Quandaries and Opportunities" and "An Agenda for Reform", devoted to analyse in detail the set of structural reforms that are needed to get out of the crisis, the new international world setting, and the reforms of institutions in Spain, respectively. Once again, first level scholars, politicians, and analysts from Spain and abroad have come together in Navacerrada to discuss with the Campus" participants current affairs issues. Among them were the president of the European Parliament, Jerzy Buzek; Harvard University Economics Professor and former IMF chief economist, Kenneth Rogoff; University of Cologne Professor Emeritus of Political Economics and former chairman of the German Council of Economic Experts, Juergen Donges; the president of the Social-Democrat Party of Portugal, Pedro Passos; former president of Uruguay, Luis Alberto Lacalle; the mayor of Caracas, Antonio Ledezma; Erlangen University lecturer of Political Science, Roland Sturm; the Member of the European Parliament and vice-chair of the European People"s Party Group, Jaime Mayor-Oreja; the PP MP for Vizcaya, Ignacio Astarloa; and the president of the Community of Madrid, Esperanza Aguirre.
