El expresidente del Gobierno y presidente de la Fundación FAES, José María Aznar, ha afirmado hoy que “España tiene la oportunidad y el potencial de acometer una transformación estructural de su economía”. Lo ha hecho en Toledo, en un evento de la Asociación de la Empresa Familiar de Castilla-La Mancha.

It’s just that we’ve been in that hell for many years, and the illusion of a radical and true change has gradually disappeared following the frustrated or not even addressed reforms, the ideological stubbornness, a fundamentalism which alleged experts, who live from it, nourish like a sacred fire.
El expresidente del gobierno y presidente de FAES advierte en esta entrevista en el diario Le Figaro de que “nos encontramos ante la primera crisis existencial de la UE desde su creación”. “Inglaterra se va, y otros países de la Unión, dependiendo del resultado de sus elecciones, amenazan con seguirle”, dice. “Si gana el FN, Francia saldrá del Euro y de la Unión Europea. Será el fin de una UE amenazada ya por el Brexit.” Ante esta situación, Aznar afirma que “no es menos Europa lo que propone, sino una Europa posible”.
Con la sentencia del pasado mes de febrero, el TC italiano declaraba inconstitucional algunas disposiciones de su sistema electoral. A pesar de que en 2014 declaró que no está entre sus funciones evaluar la pertinencia o la eficacia de las leyes electorales, es evidente que ha jugado un papel de creciente importancia en la definición de las coordenadas del debate electoral de los últimos años.

Also known as the co-author of the book Senza Radici (“Without Roots”) alongside Cardinal Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI), Professor Pera urges European culture to proudly recall and reaffirm its origins and its universal democratic principles: freedom, equality and tolerance. In this respect, Europe must recognise the intrinsic value of a civilisation, Western civilisation, that has given the world so many universal ideas. “Europe must be aware of the moral superiority of a series of values that have prevailed over centuries and that have produced beneficial results wherever they have become established”.
