The former Prime Minister of Spain and president of FAES Foundation, José María Aznar, has introduced the former president of France and president of the Republicans, Nicolas Sarkozy, this morning, who delivered the opening lecture of the XII FAES Campus. Aznar has described Sarkozy as a ‘personal friend and a friend of Spain’ and stressed that ‘he is a political leader who serves as such.’ He has also reviewed the latest situation in Greece, warning against ‘domestic options incompatible with Europe’ and stating that ‘If the European Union accepts the breaking of rules, its future will be seriously compromised.’

Introduced by the Director of Economics and Public Policy at FAES, Miguel Marin, Soria recalled that ‘today Spain is the fastest growing economy in the entire eurozone’
