The 2014 FAES Campus Economics Course finished this afternoon with the “Employment from the Successful Perspective. The German and British Cases” Roundtable between Matthias Schäfer, Konrad Adenauer Foundation Financial Policy Head of Team and Raoul Ruparel, Open Europe Head of Economic Research.
Fátima Báñez, Minister of Employment and Social Security, took part in the second day of the 2014 FAES Campus and delivered the conference “Employment in Spain: Between the Labour Reform and Recovery”. José María Aznar, President of FAES Foundation; Javier Zarzalejos, Director of the Campus and Miguel Marín, Director of the FAES Foundation Economy and Public Policies Department, also participated in the session.
/06.30.2014/. – The Federal Finance Minister of Germany, Wolfgang Schäuble, stated that “there is no alternative between reducing public debt and boosting growth” and “Spain has been an example of this throughout the last two years”. Schäuble addressed the opening session of the Economy course of the 2014 FAES Campus together with the Spanish Minister of Economy and Competiveness, Luis de Guindos, who stated that “today Spanish economy is at a recovery phase” and “has achieved four quarters of positive growth, increasingly intense”.

Román Escolano, President of the ICO Foundation; José Manuel González-Páramo, former member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank’s and Elga Bartsch, Morgan Stanley’s Chief European Economist took part in it. Miguel Marín, Director of the FAES Economy and Public Policies Department introduced the speakers and chaired the roundtable.
