Lacking any other means except a post office box and a couple of ads in newspapers, more than 35 years ago, three women founded the Association of Victims of Terrorism. One of them was Ana María Vidal Abarca who, along with Sonsoles Álvarez de Toledo and Isabel O'Shea, managed to sow and reap in the Basque Country a testimony of solidarity and decency in what was then a wilderness of fear and complicit silence which parched the most elementary civic values and even the compassion with those who fell victims of the terrorist barbarity.

Apunta Bardají que las palabras del primer ministro israelí han movilizado a los legisladores americanos y centrado el debate en la inconveniencia de firman un mal acuerdo.

It has been written by the journalist and communications director of the Association of Victims of Terrorism (COVITE), Juanfer F. Calderín. If–as Maite Pagazaurtundúa notes in the preface–the book by Florencio Dominguez, Rogelio Alonso and Marcos Garcia Rey, ‘Vidas rotas’ (Espasa Libros, 2011), marked a turning point in the effort to make all victims of ETA fully visible, this book is largely a continuation of that work, complemented and refined by the notion that the suffering caused by the terrorist group to its victims and those who were responsible for them must be confronted squarely.
