Walking Next to the Wall (www.walkingnexttothewall.com), is the title of a documentary that is currently being released in several universities and cultural centres in Spain. It has been shot in several cities and towns of Egypt and is a true portrayal of a minority (10 million people) with weight in the Middle East: the Coptic Christians who, from the first century, live in a country that is crucial in the region.

En la nota editorial, FAES aboga por “reafirmar el valor de la democracia representativa”, entre otras cuestiones, “para enfrentar las tentaciones populista, buenista y nacionalista”.

An America which, incidentally, exceedingly praised the so-called 'Arab Spring' and armed the opponents of Bashar al-Asad without due precautions. They that sow the wind, shall reap the whirlwind. Not to mention a European Union without ideology, politics, army, or budget to guarantee the security...
On 5 September in Minsk, the Government of Ukraine and the pro-Russian separatists signed a ceasefire agreement previously negotiated between the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, and the Ukrainian President, Petro Poroshenko. This agreement portrays a new phase of the Ukrainian crisis: in the first place, NATO, the USA. and the European Union have definitively ruled out a military pulse with Russia to avoid the escalation to a possible armed confrontation. Meanwhile, the Government of Kiev has acknowledged that they have lost control of the South-East and has yielded to Russian military pressure. Finally, the agreement involves the establishment on pragmatic reality, rather than a moral and democratic vision. But this new situation raises three questions: 1) What does the ceasefire...
