La crisis del coronavirus ha intensificado el debate en la Unión Europea y en los principales Estados miembros sobre la relación con China y sus implicaciones profundas. A pesar de los distintos enfoques, existe un amplio consenso sobre la necesidad de que la UE articule una política hacia China más sólida y con un enfoque más estratégico frente a un entorno internacional en rápida transformación y caracterizado por la competición y las rivalidades sistémicas. También la OTAN presta cada vez más atención a China, incluyendo su creciente presencia en sectores estratégicos europeos. A tal efecto, la Fundación FAES ha elaborado un ambicioso proyecto, ‘España y el debate euroatlántico sobre China’, en colaboración con el 'think tank' londinense Resilient Futures.
